El ex Pink Floyd, David Gilmour (1946), sigue promocionando su nuevo y cuarto álbum de estudio como solista, ‘Rattle That Lock‘ que ya te hemos presentado en la nuestra sección dedicada a la critica de discos.
Para acompañar el lanzamiento del sucesor de ‘On an Island’ (2006), publicado el pasado 18 de septiembre, David Gilmour ha compartido hace unas horas el vídeo musical oficial del single “The girl in the yellow dress”, tema numero 8 de ‘Rattle That Lock’ y que podrás ver más abajo con también la letra de la canción.
El videoclip ha sido realizado en formato de dibujo animado, con la firma del artista Danny Madden de Los Ángeles, mientras el texto del single ha sido compuesto por la misma mujer de Gilmour, Polly Sampson, autora de novelas que ha presentado a NPR su trabajo con estas palabras:
“Escribir la letra para ‘The girl in the yellow dress’ ha sido algo similar a escribir un cuento… Para que David pudiese cantarla con gusto, transmitiendo mi mensaje, he tenido que mirar el mundo con sus ojos”.
